It came to my attention yesterday that there is, apparently, a registration deadline date for voters turning 18 in 2008.

And, from what I have heard, it is October 4th.

This presents a bit of a problem for me, as I don't turn 18 until the 27th of October, which is still nearly two weeks before the presidential election. And as an 18 year old and legal adult in the United States, I have the legal right to vote! But, because of this ridiculous restriction, I may not be able to vote until the 2012 elections! Which is obscene!

Now, I suppose I can somewhat understand the need for a registration deadline, since, you know, seventeen year olds are incapable of registering to vote, since they are mentally incompetent...to be cont..
